Rosters & meets

Manage athletes across seasons and set up courses, checkpoints, and races.

Building a roster

Rosters carry over season to season. Add athletes once and they stay with your program, gaining PRs and history with every meet they run. Move runners between varsity and JV without losing their records.

Creating a meet

A meet is a day of racing at one location. Give it a name and date, choose which athletes are competing, and XC Splits handles the rest — including multiple races on the same course.

  1. 1Create the meet and set the date and venue.
  2. 2Add the races — varsity, JV, and any splits by gender or grade.
  3. 3Select which athletes run in each race.

Setting the course & checkpoints

Tell XC Splits where your checkpoints are and how far into the course they sit. Accurate distances turn raw taps into meaningful pace and split data your athletes can actually learn from.

Reuse familiar courses

Race the same venue every year? Save the course once and its checkpoints are ready for every future meet there.

Managing multiple races

  • Run varsity and JV back to back without re-setting helpers.
  • Each race gets its own clock and its own clean set of results.
  • Switch between races from one screen as the day unfolds.
